The Generals defeat the Nordiques 4-3

Nicholas Sesock came up big, stopping 34 of 37 shots throughout the game. The Northeast Generals took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Tyler Rudek.

Austin Braley had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Stephen Toal chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Mullen opened the scoring for L/A with a goal at 1:31 with a helper from fellow Nordiques forward Audette. Ouellette netted a goal at 5:01 with helpers from his teammates Sanchez and Labrie. Kelly finally put Northeast on the board with a goal at 9:36 with assists from Whalen and Braley. Toal quickly followed with a goal at 11:27 with helpers from Braley and Couture.

During the second period, Braley scored a goal at 15:59 with assists from his linemates, Toal and Faia.

In the third, Rudek deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:19 with helpers from his linemates, O’dowd and Marcola. O’keefe answered for L/A with a goal at 18:27 with assists from his linemates, Kennedy and Malone.

The Generals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Sesock’s big night as he stopped 34 of the 37 shots he faced. Sesock’s counterpart, Errico, also had a big night, managing to stop 44 of 48, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Northeast Generals’ record to (27-17-2-0).
