Northeast tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Skylands held on for a 6-5 victory.
A goal by Antonio Martiniello put Skylands up 6-4 in the third period, but Northeast pulled to within one on Austin Braley\’s tally 12:27 into the third period.
Cory Decosta had one goal and three assists to lead Skylands. Decosta scored on the power play 15:55 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Skylands had taken the advantage when Northeast\’s Kyle Hoxie got sent off for tripping. Hunter Ledwith picked up the assist.
