The Northeast Generals of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are excited to announce that 1999, Forward, Ryan Reifler has committed to play his NCAA D3 Hockey at Elmira College.
Reifler, from Binghamton, NY, becomes the latest player from the Generals historic season to commit to the D3 level. The 6’2″ Power Forward was acquired just after the halfway point of the season and he added to the league’s most explosive offense right away. In 19 games Ryan had 12 goals, 19 assists for 31 points and was an impressive plus 22.
Reifler played 2 pervious seasons for the Binghamton (Elmira) Senators where he posted monster numbers. He finished his 3 year NA3HL career with 222 points in 105 games.
Ryan will bring his talents close to home with Elmira in 2020-21. Elmira is one of the top teams in the nation year in and year out. Playing in the UCHC the Soaring Eagles finished the 2019-20 season with a 17-8-1 record.
“Ryan is such a great kid. We knew we were getting a talented hockey player when we acquired him but we didn’t know just how amazingly he would fit in to our program off the ice and within our great team chemistry. He made an instant impact both in the locker room and on the ice. A lot has been already written about how potent our team was last year. But the individual players that made up that team were just fantastic. Ryan came in to a very tight group of kids and was able to integrate right away. He worked incredibly hard and was such a great teammate. There is no doubt in my mind that Ryan would have helped lead us to a Fraser Cup Championship!” Said GM Bryan Erikson.
“We wish Ryan the best of luck at Elmira. They are getting a great player and person. He was so easy to Coach because he did everything we asked of him. He showed up, worked hard and produced night after night. Really excited for Ryan and his commitment.” Said Head Coach Darryl Locke.
