The Northeast Generals announce the signing of former Bourne High School player Jared Butler. Jared brings a relentless work ethic and positive attitude to the Generals.
"Jared is one of those players that has blossomed late in his high school career," accoring to Generals Coach Bryan Erikson. "Jared started hockey as a goalie for a number of years and was very successful. He made the switch to forward a few years ago. Anytime someone makes such a dramatic change there are growing pains. But nobody works harder than Jared on the ice. He is one of the better forecheckers I have ever Coached. He has good hands, a high hockey IQ and the desire to be a very good hockey player."
Jared was a teammate of another recently signed General, Austin Braley. They both shared a lot of team success and the Generals are hopefull that their experience winning will help make the Generals successful from day 1.
Erikson continued "One of the best things abour Jared is that he will listen to everything the Coaches say. Nobody will out work him. He has a lot of room for improvment but his work ethic on and off the ice along with his understanding of the game will help him achieve his goals."
