Generals pick up right where they left off. Open the 2020-21 Season in dominant fashion.

Oct 6, 2020

The Northeast Generals 19-20 season ended like most teams, in frustration.  Maybe more so because they led the league in every category and as the favorite to win the Fraser Cup.

The opening of the 2020-21 season comes with renewed optimism.  You don’t get much better than a nearly perfect 8-1 win on the road!

The game would start in less than ideal fashion with Danbury (coming of a 2nd place finish in 2019-2020) scoring just 3 minutes in on a fluke shot from the corner.

But from that point on it would be all Generals as they would score 8 unanswered goals.  Kicking off the 2020-21 goal scoring would be 3rd year Generals and Assistant Captain Deacon More on a shot from the point (assisted by Sean Gorman).  Newcomer Sean Gorman would score late in Period 1 which would ultimately be the game winner (assisted by Jacob Kaminski).   Period 1 would end with the Generals leading 2-1 with goaltender Espen Reager turning away 8 or 9 shots.

Period 2 would be all Generals as newcomer Nick Obourn would collect his first junior goal (assisted by Sean Gorman and Jacob Kosinski).  Next would be Nick Ramm who would score the first of his amazing 4 goals (assisted by Jacob Kaminski and Tyler Ramm).  Period 2 would end with the Generals leading 4-1 with Reager turning back all 11 shots.

Period 3 would see more Generals fireworks as Nick Ramm would score goal #2 (assisted by Austin Crisp and newcomer Tyeler Tompkins).  Next up would be Austin Crisp who would score a beauty to make it 6-1.  Nick Ramm would score the final 2 goals (assists going to Gabe Stoner, Matthew Coe and 2 to his brother Tyler Ramm).  Reager would be perfect again, turning back all 13 shots finishing with 32 saves on 33 shots for his first Junior hockey win.

The Generals travel back to Danbury on October 11th for a quick rematch.
