The Northeast Generals are excited to announce that 1997 Defensemen Davis Kisielis has signed with the Blackburn Hawks of the NIHL (National Ice Hockey League) in England.
The 6’6 D man made an immediate impact on the NA3 Generals last year. Davis brought a steady presence to the lineup every night and played with the right amount of snarl to protect his teammates while playing shut down defense.
“Davis was a real success story for us. He came to us very raw but worked real hard to improve his skating and his positioning.” said Generals Head Coach Darryl Locke. “He was great off the ice, always working hard and that translated to his rapid improvement on the ice.”
“Davis is a great example of what hard work can do to your hockey career. He worked real hard, listened and improved everyday. We wish Davis the best of luck as he ventures into professional hockey.” added General Manager Bryan Erikson.
Davis will join former Generals NA3 D man Ruslan Cernych in the NIHL who just signed with the Milton Keynes Thunder. Ruslan is embarking on his 3rd year as a professional hockey player.
