The Generals kick started the offense once more against the Norwich Sea Captains, visiting Norwich on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in a 6-3 victory.

The Generals hopped ahead early in the first, with defensemen Colin March finding his second goal of the season to jump ahead early 1-0. Norwich responded 30 seconds later to tie the contest at 1-1, before forward Gabe Vijuk continued his goal scoring tear, giving the Generals a 2-1 a little over half way through the first. The Sea Captains tied the game up once more with 24 seconds remaining in the first, leveling the game at 2-2 after the first.

The Generals put themselves ahead five minutes into the period with forward Michael Locke’s third of the season to jump ahead 3-2. Skater John Rodgers, who has split time between forward and blueliner, found his first of the game eight minutes later to jump ahead 4-2 after two, which stood as the game winning goal.

The Sea Captains attempted to bring the game within striking distance with a goal five-and-a-half minutes into the period to make the game 4-3. Rodgers gave the Generals some insurance with his second goal of the game six minutes later, putting the score at 5-3. Vijuk potted his own second goal four minutes later, his team leading 17th goal, to push Northeast ahead 6-3. That score stayed 6-3 until the final buzzer, propelling the Generals to a 19-1-0-0 record as they advance to December.

Skater Mason Frary recorded three assists in the contest to lead the team in points, with forward Nick Summers following close behind with two assists of his own. Vijuk and Rodgers led in goals with two apiece. Goaltender Mike Foglia received the start, swatting away 33 of the 36 shots he saw on route to the victory.

The Generals will start the month of December with a journey to New Hampshire to take on the Jr. Mountain Kings on Saturday, Dec. 2. That game is scheduled for 3:30 PM EST. Northeast will travel back home after Saturday’s contest with a weekend series hosting the New Jersey Titans, with games Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.
