East Division MVP Deacon More Commits to Chatham University

May 25, 2021

The Northeast Generals of the NA3HL are excited to announce that Deacon More has committed to play his NCAA Hockey at Chatham University.

More, a 2000 Left Shot D man, came to the Generals 3 seasons ago and made an immediate impact both on the organization but also the league.  In 129 games the hard shooting D man accumulated 40 goals, 78 assists and 118 points.  The improvement in Deacon’s game became evident this year as he led the entire NA3HL in D man scoring with 21 goals and 51 points in just 41 games while leading the Generals to their first ever Fraser Cup appearance.

Deacon was named both MVP and Defenseman of the Year (along with being All East First Team) for the East Division.  More accolades will surely follow as the league announces the rest of the awards in the coming days.

“Deacon’s commitment is a testament to his improvement as a person and a player.  Deacon still has a lot of work to do and room for improvement but he has gotten better each year he has played for us.  I know Coach Gershon at Chatham very well and know that Deacon is in good hands.  Coach will get the most out of him as did Darryl here.  We are proud of Deacon and look forward to watching him next year!”  Said Bryan Erikson President of Hockey Operations.
