The Northeast Generals of the NA3HL are thrilled to announce that 3 year Defenseman Austin Crisp has committed to play his college hockey at Arcadia University.
Austin joined the Generals 18U NAPHL team for the 2019-2020 season. In 40 games that year he had 3 goals and 15 assists for 18 points. After his year in the 18’s Austin played 2 seasons in the NA3HL for the Generals. In 43 games Austin was outstanding in all 3 zones. He totaled 1 goal and 25 assists for 26 points while being plus 24.
“Great signing for Arcadia. Austin is a phenomenal kid who worked his tail off for us. He came to us and instantly become a top defender on the top team in the NA3HL. He is a winner. Over his two years we went 83-11. He is a smooth skating D man that always has his head up, makes a great first pass and is very physical. He was a player for me and has left big shoes to fill this upcoming season. I know he will be a great addition to Arcadia.” Said Head Coach Darryl Locke.
Arcadia University made it’s NCAA debut in 2021-22. They play in the UCHC. The UCHC is the top Division III hockey conference in the region. Other institutions in the conference include Chatham, Elmira, King’s, Lebanon Valley, Manhattanville, Nazareth, Neumann, Stevenson, Utica, and Wilkes.
NAHL Head Coach Bryan Erikson said “So proud of Austin. He has constantly proven people wrong. And after 3 years with Coach Locke, myself and Eric Progen he has matured both on and off the ice. Now he gets to play for a man Vincent Pietrangelo who is a great person and Coach. Very excited for Austin as he joins former teammates Carson Asper and Tyler Kaminski.”
