Mar 27, 2018

The Northeast Generals are excited to announce the NCAA commitment of Captain Luke Whalen.  Luke is one of the original Generals having payed in their inaugural season in 2015-2016 and continued on to be a Captain in both 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.

Luke, from Plymouth, MA, has been a true leader both on and off the ice.  The 6’2″, stay at home defenseman, recorded 39 points, 181 Penalty Minutes and was a +24 in 124 games played.

“I have been fortunate to have Coached Luke on various teams and in different leagues and levels for the past 7 years” said Generals GM Bryan Erikson.  “He has improved tremendously over that time.  He worked hard to improve his foot speed and his decision making with the puck and you see that improvement in his game.”

“Not only is look a good hockey player but he is a great kid.  He is the exact type of kid we targeted when we started the Generals.  A great kid that works hard and wears the Generals uniform in a way that brings pride to our organization.  We couldn’t be happier for Luke to becoming a Framingham Ram!”
