The Northeast Generals NA3HL team are excited to announce that they will have 3 representatives at the Top Prospects, the premier league event in Plymouth, Michigan, February 27-28.
On the Coastal/Central (top uncommitted prospects) team the Generals placed 2 forwards:
Marc Faia, F, 1998: 25 goals, 32 assists, 57 points
Alex O’Dowd, F, 1997: 12 goals, 30 assists, 42 points
On the U18 Selects Team (comprised of the top 1999, 2000 and 2001 players)
Thad Marcola, F, 1998: 12 goals, 10 assists, 22 points
“We are very proud of these 3 guys. Our offense has been very potent and I am sure the selection committee had a hard time choosing our guys. Alex has been with us for 3 years and is closing in on 100 points as a General. He is in his 3rd year as a Captain and is just a great kid and an excellent hockey player. Very happy that he is getting the recognition. Faia has been a electric player for us since day 1 and has been a force on the ice at all times. He has been a huge addition both on and off the ice for us. ” said GM Bryan Erikson
“And placing a guy on the U18 team is great. Thad came to us from Michigan and took time adjusting to the league. But Coach Locke loved his work ethic and nose for the net and he continually rose up the depth chart. He has had a tremendous 2nd half to the season so far.”
