Austin Braley delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Brian Shea chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first period, Shea opened the scoring for Northeast with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:48 with a helper from Toal.
In the second, Braley put in a goal at 1:47 with helpers from his linemates, O’dowd and Lopaev.
In the third, Marcola deposited a goal at 6:50 with assists from his linemates, Braley and Faia. Kelly scored a goal at 10:03 with assists from teammates Fuller and Gianetis. Braley quickly followed with a goal at 11:50 with helpers from Shea and Whalen. Lopaev netted a goal at 16:09 with helpers from O’dowd and Hamel.
The Generals’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Wagner’s shutout, as he stopped all 26 of the shots he faced. Wagner’s counterpart, Cortez, also had a big night, managing to stop 0 of 0, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Northeast Generals’ record to (13-5-1-0).
