East Coast pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over Northeast on a clutch goal by Preston Palamara.
East Coast was paced by Palamara, who registered one goal. Palamara scored 5:00 into overtime to make the score 4-3 East Coast.
East Coast kept Northeast\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Steven Murphy made 28 saves on 32 shots.
East Coast also got points from Tom Potter, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. East Coast also had goals scored by Mark Morava and Ryan Monte, who each put in one. More assists for East Coast came via Andrew Irving, who had two and Kyler Harding, Mason Smith, and Albert Wiggins, who each chipped in one.
East Coast was unable to stop Northeast from sending pucks towards the net, and Northeast eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.
Northeast was helped by Conor Harrington, who racked up one goal. Harrington scored on the power play 13:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 East Coast. Northeast had gotten the advantage when East Coast\’s Morava was sent off for too many men. Reed Mancovsky assisted on the tally. Northeast additionally got points from Kyle Hoxie, who also had one goal and one assist. Travis Hyde also scored for Northeast. In addition, Northeast received assists from Derric Trudeau and Kevin Perry, who contributed two each.
